About the Role

Studio in a School is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and collaborative professional with an interest in arts administration to join our team as the Associate Manager, Bloomberg Arts Internship: College (Implementation). This role plans and implements a paid internship program for college students in seven cities focused on career readiness and arts engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively to execute program timelines and workplans for the summer program in seven cities, with further expansion expected.
  • Support program evaluation data collection in partnership with colleagues in Internship Programs.
  • Support all aspects of pre-program planning, including developing prospective intern and worksite outreach plans, creating recruitment materials, representing Studio at events, contributing to intern application design, management, and review, organizing the process to match interns and worksites, and coordinating plans for workshops and cultural excursions.
  • Lead the hiring process for part-time, seasonal staff (Project Coordinators), including collecting and organizing hiring paperwork and coordinating the onboarding process.
  • Ensure smooth execution of the program throughout the year, including supervising part-time seasonal staff, serving as a day-of contact/support for workshops and cultural excursions, and assisting in approving timesheet entries for mentors and interns.
  • Conduct research to support continuous program improvement.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in arts administration, education, nonprofit management, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience with program coordination and comprehensive understanding of career development.
  • Proficiency using project management or workflow software (e.g., Asana, Airtable, Google Workspace, MS 365 including Microsoft Planner, Monday.com or Trello).
  • Proficiency using data management programs, including Salesforce.
  • Commitment to the mission of Studio in a School.
  • Self-motivation, assertiveness, positive demeanor, and willingness to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong work ethic with appreciation for deadlines. Adherence to project plans and follow through.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to set priorities and manage projects simultaneously, oversee and track work details and respond flexibly to changes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to complete NYC Public Schools Fingerprint and Background Check Clearance upon employment.
