About the Role
As a Building Surveyor, you will collaborate with senior professionals to oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring safety, timeliness, and budget adherence while achieving high client satisfaction. This role supports hybrid working with necessary on-site visits.
Responsibilities
- Act as Contract Administrator and/or Employers Agent.
- Prepare project designs and specifications.
- Manage projects of varying size and complexity.
- Undertake surveys and site inspections.
- Prepare tender documentation, evaluations, and recommendations.
- Provide contractual advice to design teams and clients.
- Prepare and manage CAD plans.
- Manage and work with multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Act as lead designer.
- Manage and coordinate site visits and surveys.
- Perform general project duties.
- Prepare Feasibility reports.
- Prepare Building Regulation and planning applications.
- Assist with Party Wall Matters, Acquisition and Condition Surveys, and Dilapidations.
- Maintain technical understanding of construction, management, and operations, including defects.
- Ensure personal health and safety and that of others.
- Contribute to improving social and environmental impact.
- Undertake any other reasonably required duties.
Requirements
- Degree qualification (RICS-accredited or equivalent).
- Chartered or working towards RICS chartership.
- Strong technical grounding in core building surveying areas.
- Client-focused mindset with a drive for cost-effective solutions.
- Ability to manage projects with minimal supervision.
- Confident in networking and supporting business development.
- Capable of delegating tasks and developing leadership skills.
- Must pass an enhanced DBS check due to client requirements.
