About the Role
La Bella Associates is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer with a career interest in Building Projects to join our Rochester, NY office. This role involves collaborating with a Project Team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports for buildings from conception to construction, working closely with other engineers and team members to produce electrical engineering documents.
Responsibilities
- Work with other engineers as part of a Project Team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Prepare electrical design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Perform lighting calculations and arc flash studies.
- Perform field investigations to document existing conditions.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with co-workers, staff, project managers, other disciplines, and all other employees.
- Improve current knowledge of technologies and trends, as they apply to the applicable project and market types, and continually strengthens skills.
Requirements
- An interest in building systems, and a curiosity to want to learn more.
- Background in AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred.
- Strong writing, organizational and communications skills.
- Ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
