About the Role

The Systems Administrator I is the primary operational administrator for technology platforms and infrastructure services at Caz Recovery, ensuring secure, stable, and reliable systems that support the agency’s clinical mission and business operations. This is a growth-oriented position where the administrator will progressively assume greater responsibility for infrastructure administration, security, documentation, and service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Manage Active Directory and Entra ID accounts, groups, permissions, and Group Policy Objects.
  • Support MFA enrollment, Conditional Access policies, and identity lifecycle management.
  • Administer endpoint management platforms like Intune and Endpoint Central for device management and patching.
  • Perform monitoring, patching, backup verification, and maintenance of Windows Server infrastructure.
  • Support virtualization, storage, and disaster recovery operations.
  • Administer network infrastructure including switches, VLANs, routing, firewalls, and wireless.
  • Manage enterprise print infrastructure.
  • Participate in infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Implement and enforce IT security policies in alignment with HIPAA, HITECH, and organizational requirements.
  • Support endpoint security controls, security monitoring platforms, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Conduct IT security awareness training.
  • Participate in audits, risk assessments, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Adhere to established Change Management protocols for all production environment modifications.
  • Maintain version-controlled records of server and network configuration changes.
  • Ensure appropriate authorization and procedural adherence for production-impacting changes.
  • Provide Tier 2 support for escalated service desk issues.
  • Maintain accurate and current documentation of systems, configurations, licenses, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendors for procurement, licensing, and support of IT services.
  • Demonstrate sound operational judgment and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Communicate technical issues, risks, and recommendations clearly.
  • Accept coaching, apply feedback, and continuously develop technical and professional competencies.
  • Identify and present recommendations for operational, security, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Integrate Trauma-Informed Care principles in all duties and interactions.
  • Maintain compliance with all required rules and regulations including Federal Confidentiality, HIPAA, Medicaid, and/or HUD.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Attend work location regularly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent combinations of education, technical training, and demonstrated experience.
  • Three or more years of progressively responsible experience in systems administration, infrastructure support, or enterprise IT operations.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, Windows Server, endpoint management, and networking environments.
  • Valid New York State driver’s license.
  • Reliable personal transportation.
