About the Role
New York Bus Sales is seeking a Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technician to perform inspections and modifications on buses to meet customer and DOT specifications at our Syracuse, NY location.
Responsibilities
- Understand DOT requirements for school and commercial buses.
- Interpret PDI work orders to determine necessary modifications.
- Modify buses to meet DOT and customer specifications, including seat placement, air systems, chassis, and body.
- Maintain professional relationships with DOT inspectors and collaborate during inspections.
- Adhere to all prescribed safety methods and perform work safely.
Requirements
- Knowledge of DOT requirements for commercial and school vehicles.
- Ability to read and understand DOT and Blue Bird specification sheets.
