About the Role
We’re seeking a Licensed Clinician ready to lead with purpose, elevate clinical quality, and directly influence client outcomes. This high-impact clinical leadership role involves shaping treatment journeys, strengthening clinical teams, and ensuring clients receive comprehensive, compassionate care across every stage of recovery.
Responsibilities
- Assists clinical staff in developing treatment plans addressing mental health, substance abuse, education, and vocational rehabilitation.
- Conducts regular interdisciplinary case conferences.
- Conducts workshops and individual or group therapy sessions as needed.
- Works with counselors in all job functions, facilitating clinical supervision and staff development.
- Oversees and coordinates patient case management with social services agencies, legal referral sources, school stakeholders, and community providers.
- Reviews clinical documentation and participates in clinical case reviews.
- Supports, monitors, and implements clinical and recovery support programming.
- Works with staff and patients to facilitate effective progression through the treatment process.
- Ensures patients receive appropriate information/referrals during re-entry and in preparation for discharge.
Requirements
- Masters Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling.
- Independent license issued by NYS.
- Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in good standing, preferred.
- Minimum five years of experience working in substance use disorder treatment.
- Minimum two years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Familiarity with OASAS regulations and those of other relevant bodies.
- Competencies include Leadership, Initiative, Ethical Practices, Judgment, Relationship Management, Emotional Intelligence, Global and Cultural Awareness, Critical Evaluation, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Communication, Teamwork, Crisis Management, and Technical Capacity.
- Operates in an indoor office environment.
- Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
- Regularly required to sit, use hands to type, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch and lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
