About the Role

As an AWS Security team member, you will help secure that environment for our customers while working on security products for a variety of platforms and technologies, all operating at AWS’ scale. We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to join our Hardware Security team. You will build and own security-focused software solutions that protect AWS's hardware, supply chain and global infrastructure while working in an environment where technology strategy is defined but solution design requires your expertise. This role requires software development leadership and strong coding skills, including but not limited to multi-agent software development.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain tools for firmware analysis, security testing, and vulnerability assessment
Design and develop security applications to protect AWS hardware and firmware
Architect scalable, automated, tools for security assessment and compliance
Collaborate with and mentor team members while making autonomous technical decisions

Requirements

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Work safely and cooperatively with other employees, supervisors, and staff
Adhere to standards of excellence despite stressful conditions
Communicate effectively and respectfully with employees, supervisors, and staff to ensure exceptional customer service
Follow all federal, state, and local laws and Company policies
