About the Role
As a (Junior) Finance Manager, you will work in a strong, small finance team directly with the VP Finance, taking on responsibility from day one. You will cover the entire spectrum from accounting to financial statements, reporting, forecasts, and process automation, seeing the direct impact of your work on management, investors, and the board. This role offers a deep understanding of the financial management of a leading European digital wealth manager.
Responsibilities
- Independently handle recurring reporting and closing tasks for the monthly financial statement.
- Contribute to the preparation of the annual financial statement (HGB) and support accountants and auditors during the audit.
- Create KPIs and financial metrics for management presentations and assist with investor and board documentation.
- Build financial models, forecasts, and variance analyses to derive actionable insights from data.
- Digitalize and automate financial processes using AI applications and identify tools for increased efficiency.
Requirements
- Completed commercial apprenticeship and/or a degree.
- First practical experience in Accounting/Controlling, Consulting, Investment Banking, or Venture Capital is an advantage.
- Analytical thinking and proficiency in Excel.
- Quickly adapt to tools such as NetSuite, Abacum, Moss, or PowerPoint.
- Experience with automation and AI tools is a plus.
- Proactive, meticulous, and detail-oriented work approach.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-growing startup environment.
- Ambitious, willing to take responsibility, and able to independently drive tasks to completion.
- Fluent German and English (at least C1) language skills.
- Comfortable working in an international context.
