About the Role
Early Media is building a streaming app, an Analytics Engine, and a Prediction Engine from scratch. We are seeking a backend engineer to help build and support the architecture for these three components.
Responsibilities
- Develop features and services within Twist and the Analytics Engine, including Auth, User Profile, and Loyalty and IAP.
- Write clean, well-tested code that enables a small team to move quickly.
- Contribute to shared infrastructure, starting with auth, logging, and monitoring, adhering to high standards.
- Manage bugs and incidents within owned systems from start to finish.
Requirements
- Ability to execute quickly and work independently.
- 2-4 years of experience building backend systems in production.
- Working proficiency in at least one backend language such as Java EE or Kotlin.
- Solid understanding of microservices, REST APIs, and message queues (Kafka, Flink, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with a cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Docker.
- Ability to take a loosely scoped problem and define a clear path to resolution.
