About the Role
CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Bridge Section Manager to guide the planning, design, and delivery of innovative bridge and structural solutions across diverse transportation networks. This role offers the opportunity to own high-impact projects, mentor engineers, and strengthen the built environment.
Responsibilities
- Organize, direct, and coordinate activities related to bridge infrastructure projects, from initial assessment through planning and design.
- Collaborate with team leadership to manage and motivate a high-performing group of technical professionals, ensuring excellence in project delivery and achieving team utilization goals.
- Effectively manage project budgets, scope, and schedules to deliver successful outcomes for critical bridge initiatives.
- Engage with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded throughout each phase.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience required.
- Previous project or team management experience preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices across various areas.
- Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Proven ability to lead a team and manage relationships across the company.
- An articulate and persuasive communicator, both one-on-one and in front of large groups.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to guide and motivate team activity and resolve issues with urgency.
- Experience with project budgeting preferred.
- Basic understanding of accounting processes.
- Knowledge of MS Project, Primavera P6, and Deltek Vision preferred.
- Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred.
