About the Role

Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Drive assigned routes, conduct routine patrols, monitor activity, and help to deter incidents through a visible presence. Support access control, communicate with visitors and staff, and provide customer-focused service while using technology to document security-related activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
  • Assist with directing visitors and providing information while maintaining a professional presence to deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
