About the Role
This role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts. It offers flexible, dependable employment for individuals looking to supplement income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorization, maintain visitor records, and report access-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and effectively, notifying appropriate personnel and following site-specific response protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned government facility areas and perimeter locations to identify unauthorized access, hazards, or unusual activity.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, access-control activities, and policy violations.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
