About the Role

Provide academic advisement to current graduate students in Communicative Sciences and Disorders. Interpret applicable University policies and procedures, program requirements, acceptable electives, and alternative/substitute courses. Assist with planning and implementation of recruitment and orientation activities. Facilitate seminars and events that enhance the academic experience and professional development of graduate students. Interface with appropriate University offices and departments to expedite processing of on-line graduation tracking, transfer credit evaluations and reviews, program development and substitutions. Respond to inquiries concerning the School, department, and program offerings.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Higher Education, Psychology, Counseling, or other related fields.
  • 2+ years Student advisement, recruitment, admissions, counseling, or related experience.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to plan and deliver special events and seminars.
  • Proficiency with various computer applications.
  • Demonstrated commitment to student success.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage several administrative tasks at once.
  • Follow detailed workflows.
  • Work collaboratively with department and campus partners.
  • Familiarity with, or comfortable learning, new technologies.
