About the Role
As an Investment Analyst at Mattioli Woods, you will support the research of UK equities, reporting to the Fund Manager and collaborating with the wider Investment Research and Asset Allocation teams.
Responsibilities
- Research equities using qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Conduct due diligence, and contribute to asset allocation and investment strategy.
- Support investment selection, portfolio construction, and ongoing oversight.
- Write research reports and present findings to investment teams and other stakeholders.
- Utilize investment research, portfolio management, and risk systems, and sometimes lead improvements.
- Improve investment data, management information, and reporting.
- Collaborate with external parties such as brokers and system providers, and debate investment ideas with colleagues.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in investment management or investment research.
- A strong understanding of financial markets.
- Experience in equity and fund manager selection, portfolio oversight, or asset allocation.
- The ability to interpret complex data and form investment views.
- The ability to present investment ideas clearly to different audiences.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with investment systems such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Morningstar, or FE.
- Attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a collaborative approach to debating investment ideas.
- CISI Level 4 or equivalent qualification.
