About the Role
Solus Canada, powered by Aviva AutoCare Centre, is an innovative collision repair facility transforming the customer experience. We are seeking a dedicated Automotive Service Technician to join our team in Mississauga, focusing on assessing vehicle damage, ensuring customer satisfaction, and producing quality repairs.
Responsibilities
- Use diagnostic equipment to diagnose and repair electric faults.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, identify root causes, and develop solutions.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical damage, including engine, suspension, and steering.
- Diagnose and repair air-conditioning, refrigeration, and heating systems.
- Diagnose and repair wiring and other electrical systems and equipment.
- Use computerized machinery for wheel alignment.
- Ensure efficient repair flow through the workshop and identify potential issues.
- Actively contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on customer needs.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and material handling.
- Promote Aviva AutoCare Centre values and goals.
Requirements
- Red Seal - Automotive Service Technician certificate (310S).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the auto repair industry, preferably in collision repair.
- Valid driver's license.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
- Strong knowledge of automotive/equipment preventative maintenance, refurbishment, and repair practices.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, identify root causes, and develop solutions.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to take direction and perform well under pressure.
- Demonstrates adaptability and openness to change with a proactive mindset in embracing new work practices and technologies.
