About the Role
Prepares patients and assists clinical providers with examinations by obtaining and documenting vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints. Performs various clinical tasks under physician supervision.
Responsibilities
- Prepares patients for exams by obtaining and documenting vital signs and chief complaints.
- Prepares exam rooms based on chief complaints.
- Performs phlebotomy and obtains specimens for processing.
- Administers vaccines and completes required documentation.
- Performs diagnostic tests such as EKG and Pulmonary Function as directed.
- Screens and directs patient calls according to established protocols.
- Contacts patients regarding prescriptions and testing results as directed.
- Performs daily regulatory testing and documents accordingly.
- Maintains par levels of clinical supplies for the facility.
- Performs front desk duties including patient registration, billing, and appointment scheduling.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of similar job experience in a medical office preferred.
