About the Role

The Workforce Training & Compliance Manager oversees workforce compliance, training, and governance, ensuring regulatory and organisational requirements are met. This role fosters a culture of compliance and continuous learning to support safe and effective service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor workforce compliance, including DBS checks, references, professional registrations, revalidation, and mandatory training.
  • Oversee onboarding compliance to ensure required workforce checks are completed.
  • Monitor compliance systems, ensuring alerts are reviewed and actioned.
  • Maintain accurate compliance records and address inaccuracies.
  • Undertake compliance audits and manage identified risks and actions.
  • Produce regular compliance reports and dashboards for Senior Management.
  • Oversee risk assessments and monitor their completion and actions.
  • Provide compliance oversight of offices, premises, and operational processes.
  • Monitor health and safety compliance, including RIDDOR and COSHH reporting.
  • Identify and escalate compliance risks to appropriate management.
  • Maintain continuous inspection readiness for CQC, commissioners, and audits.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Leads and operational managers to manage compliance.
  • Support the development and review of compliance policies and procedures.
  • Provide advice and guidance on workforce, operational, and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor organisational learning and actions from incidents and audits.
  • Support continuous improvement of compliance systems and processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection and information governance policies.
  • Maintain oversight of insurance compliance.
  • Own and oversee the organisation’s ISO 45001 Health & Safety Management System.
  • Support ESG initiatives, including maintaining records and monitoring actions.
  • Develop and maintain the organisation's training matrix.
  • Monitor training compliance across the workforce.
  • Design, coordinate, and facilitate training programmes.
  • Maintain oversight of learning management systems and training records.
  • Partner with leaders to identify training needs and develop learning solutions.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and competence.
  • Support regulatory and contractual training requirements.
  • Develop and deliver compliance-focused learning interventions.
  • Monitor completion of induction programmes.
  • Produce regular training compliance reports and dashboards for Senior Management.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Requirements

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent relevant experience in HR, workforce, compliance, governance or a related field.
  • Relevant professional qualification in HR, compliance, governance, health and safety or audit desirable.
  • Experience of managing organisational training and learning programmes.
  • Experience of developing training matrices, competency frameworks and learning pathways.
  • Experience of delivering training, workshops or learning interventions.
  • Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) and training compliance monitoring.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and workforce development practices.
  • Experience within a healthcare, regulated or compliance-driven environment desirable.
  • Relevant experience in workforce compliance, audit, risk or governance, preferably within healthcare.
  • Experience of monitoring compliance, undertaking audits and producing reports.
