About the Role
Join a new, locally-owned clinic in South Austin as an Experienced Veterinary Technician. We are building a positive, collaborative, and compassionate environment where pets and people feel cared for. Responsibilities
- Gather detailed patient histories from pet owners
- Take vital signs and collect lab samples
- Run in-house diagnostics (CBC, Chem, UA, cytology, etc.)
- Perform dental and full-body radiographs
- Assist in surgery and monitor patients pre- and post-op
- Administer medications and explain discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records
Requirements
- Experience as a Veterinary Technician (license not required but preferred)
- Strong knowledge of animal handling and care
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Ability to stay organized and multitask
- Compassion and empathy for pets and their humans
- Fear Free Certification preferred
