About the Role

Plans, coordinates, and performs raw material and finished product testing, utilizing analytical instrumentation and other equipment to determine standards of performance relative to specifications.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and non-routine testing of incoming raw materials and finished products.
Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory, analytical, mechanical, and electrical testing equipment.
Conduct daily testing duties including melt flow, FTIR, DSC, mechanical testing, and Critical Shear.
Accurately record, review, and communicate test results, identifying and escalating deviations.
Evaluate incoming raw material loads for compliance with quality requirements.
Partner with Production, Sourcing, and Quality personnel to resolve quality issues.
Maintain accurate laboratory records, test data, technical reports, and quality documentation.
Support experimental trials, pilot-scale evaluations, production trials, new material evaluations, product designs, and process modifications.
Perform testing and documentation for shipment of materials, including sample collection, testing, and preparation of Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and Bills of Lading (BOLs).
Maintain laboratory equipment and work areas for accurate, reliable, and safe testing.
Follow applicable Quality System policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety practices.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Basic mathematical and analytical skills.
Strong lab skills, hand dexterity and proficiency with precision equipment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to accurately follow written test methods, specifications, procedures, and work instructions.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft applications.
Ability to learn and effectively use business and manufacturing systems, including MES and Blue Yonder.
Good mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read and interpret reports, specifications, test results, and information displayed electronically.
Must be able to perform the essential physical functions of the position, including sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and ascending/descending stairs/ladders.
Ability to lift or carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
Must follow appropriate safety practices and lifting techniques.
Must use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) based on the work area and task.

Salary/Compensations

Hiring Pay Range: $41,600 USD - $52,000 USD
