About the Role

The Transportation Planning and Management Division (TP&M) is seeking a motivated candidate to support creative communications and engagement efforts within the Public Engagement Group (PEG). This role will serve as the Public Engagement Content Manager (PECM), supporting the development, editing, organization, and maintenance of the team’s reports, publications, digital platforms, educational resources, and other communications products.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, editing, organization, and maintenance of reports, publications, digital platforms, educational resources, and other communications products.
  • Review and edit content, organize complex information, and ensure communication products are clear, accessible, and engaging.
  • Support the continued development of recurring deliverables, templates, and guidance materials.
  • Support the Project & Initiatives website, including reviewing content, coordinating page updates, establishing project pages and user accounts, and assisting with routine site administration.
  • Maintain internal SharePoint resources.
  • Maintain onboarding and training materials.
  • Support the development of internal and external communication materials.

Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described.
  • High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described.
  • Education and/or experience which is equivalent to the above, with at least one year of required experience.

  • The Transportation Planning and Management Division (TP&M) is responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible movement of people and goods on the City's streets, supporting the larger goals of economic and social vitality for people living, working, and doing business in New York City.
