About the Role
Walter P Moore has an immediate opening for a Design Manager to join their dynamic Structural Engineering team. The qualified candidate will have 9-12 years of relevant experience working on the design of office buildings, healthcare facilities, sports venues, and other large commercial structures with construction costs of $25 million and up. The ideal candidate is a high-energy, self-motivated engineer who thrives in a strong team environment, serving clients on major projects throughout the United States and internationally. Technical specialization, proactivity, and aggressiveness in meeting client and project needs are considered advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Serve clients on major projects throughout the United States and internationally.
- Design office buildings, healthcare facilities, sports venues, and other large commercial structures with construction costs of $25 million and up.
- Work within a strong team environment.
- Meet client and project needs proactively and aggressively.
Requirements
- 9-12 years of experience in relevant commercial building design.
- Demonstrated career growth that includes project management experience.
- Master's in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural.
- Licensed P.E. in the state of residence.
- Experience designing commercial building structures.
- Proactive, with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Client-service oriented.
- Strong 'can-do' customer service attitude.
