About the Role
Serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a government location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badging, monitor activity, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service at the front desk of a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Greet visitors, verify identification and appointment information, and direct guests, employees, and contractors in accordance with site requirements.
- Monitor visitor access, issue and collect temporary credentials as authorized, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Monitor front desk communications and report unusual activity, access concerns, and security-related issues to site leadership or Allied Universal supervision.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
