About the Role
As a Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents, and provide professional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff at a government healthcare location.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations calmly and professionally, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors, facility staff, and emergency responders.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
