About the Role
Serve as a lead analyst for assigned balance sheet and statement of activities accounts, including recording journal entries, analysis, reconciliation, and documentation. Oversee working capital reconciliation and act as the liaison between NYU's real estate portfolio and accounting for proper recording and reconciliation. Manage intercompany processes and transactions, identify process improvement projects, and provide ongoing assistance to customers.
Responsibilities
- Record journal entries for assigned balance sheet and statement of activities accounts.
- Analyze and reconcile assigned balance sheet and statement of activities accounts.
- Document processes in runbooks.
- Oversee reconciliation of working capital.
- Liaise between NYU's real estate portfolio and accounting.
- Serve as the point person for intercompany processes and transactions.
- Identify and propose solutions for process improvement projects.
- Provide ongoing assistance to internal and external customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3+ years relevant experience with audit, analysis and reconciliation of large, complex bank accounts or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal abilities and the capacity to work effectively with individuals at all levels.
- Skilled in analyzing problems and implementing effective management solutions.
- Skilled in establishing priorities.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel spreadsheet and database software.
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles as they apply to banking transactions.
