About the Role
Easy Street Capital is seeking an Underwriter to conduct thorough underwriting reviews for Residential Transition Loans (RTL). This position involves assessing loan files for compliance, analyzing borrower experience and project feasibility, and providing recommendations for loan decisions.
Responsibilities
- Review incoming loan requests for completeness and request additional information as needed.
- Evaluate strength of asset, borrower qualifications, overall credit risk, and budget appropriateness for new financing opportunities.
- Determine As-Is and after repair value based on recent comparable sales.
- Structure loan terms in accordance with Easy Street Guidelines.
- Advise on system improvements for RTL efficiency gains.
Requirements
- 2-5 Years experience in residential underwriting.
- Extremely high attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to both give and receive feedback.
- Strong Understanding on the documentation involved in mortgage loan files including legal documents, appraisals, property insurance, title insurance, LLC entity documents, and credit/background reports.
