About the Role
The therapist will provide assessments and psychotherapy to students and families, utilizing evidence-based practices. Services include individual, family, and group therapy, co-occurring substance abuse and mental health treatment, psychiatric evaluation, and medication management.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and family therapy in school and home environments.
- Conduct intake assessments, gathering data from parents, children, and other relevant sources.
- Use diagnostic and assessment information to support treatment plan development.
- Utilize evidence-based practices.
- Provide crisis intervention services for caseload when necessary.
- Actively participate on the School Intervention Team and partner with school staff/teachers to support child's success in the school setting.
Requirements
- Must be flexible and oriented to family work.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer skills and ability to effectively use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Must have a valid New York State driver’s license and access to reliable transportation when required.
