About the Role
Improve patient health through an innovative, patient-focused culture dedicated to making a difference in achieving optimum health and the best quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a User of the Bassett Healthcare Network's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Review and approve all data entered into the CMMS.
- Sort, report, and analyze data for all Facilities Management departments and Support Systems.
- Coordinate activities for maintenance shops and support service departments by assigning work orders (e.g., Electrical, HVAC, Mechanical, Carpentry, Paint, Grounds, Regional Maintenance).
- Coordinate maintenance workflow and identify system deficiencies.
- Ensure CMMS functions with the most current versions and applications.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment within the Facilities division.
- Participate in planning, designing, and establishing data entry standards for the CMMS.
- Follow standards and procedures for entering facility-wide information.
- Design and create reports and reporting tools for work orders, preventive maintenance, and productivity analysis.
- Coordinate facility asset records and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Create, coordinate, and maintain documentation for Preventive Maintenance and regulatory agencies (e.g., The Joint Commission, Code Inspections, Environment of Care Rounds) under the direction of the Facilities Director.
- Direct activities for maintenance shops and support service departments through work order assignments.
- Receive, approve, prioritize, assign, close out, and oversee the distribution of all designated work orders and service requests daily.
- Ensure all work orders are created and closed out for all shops daily and provide customer service calls as required.
- Complete designated monthly and periodic reports on time (productivity, payroll, PM completions, safety, finance, etc.).
- Complete specialized reporting including data analysis, recommendations, and summary reports.
- Control access and ensure the entry and preservation of accurate records of preventative and corrective maintenance work order requests.
- Manage the establishment and use of global codes within the CMMS.
- Perform periodic analysis of the preventative maintenance program.
- Document and track all equipment modifications.
- Create and monitor work orders, including Urgent Work Orders, concerning patient and staff safety.
- Plan all maintenance activities for operational assets, including preventative maintenance.
- Liaise between operational needs and maintenance team availability.
- Manage required documentation for facilities compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Perform preliminary review of all inspections and enter findings requiring tracking into the CMMS, assigning work according to trades and priorities.
- Ensure work is completed in a timely manner with complete documentation.
- Manage testing results required by regulatory agencies and monitor testing frequency and task instructions.
- Manage all Environment of Care required reporting documentation for The Joint Commission.
- Anticipate problems and escalate appropriately.
- Establish timely and effective communication with Facilities Management and customers regarding work progress, delays, or completion.
- Communicate issues professionally and with a solution-oriented approach.
- Conduct analysis and design effective methods for data extraction and reporting to provide actionable information.
- Identify and correct system, delivery, or procedural problems affecting customer satisfaction.
- Recommend and develop processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
- Be responsible for business occupancy and Critical Access Hospital compliance and data entry.
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
Requirements
- High School or GED required.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in healthcare operations (business or facilities) preferred.
- Experience must be in facilities, projects, or property management.
- Valid, clean driver's license required.
- Ability to perform light work, exerting up to 20 lbs of force frequently.
- Occasional balancing, climbing, crouching, grasping, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, and stooping.
- Frequent standing, visual acuity (color, depth, perception), and walking.
- Constant typing/clerical/dexterity, hearing, repetitive motion, seeing/monitor/computer use, and talking.
- Awareness of occasional hazards including bodily fluids/bloodborne exposure, burns, chemical, electrical, explosives, mechanical, and radiation/radiant energy.
- Awareness of occasional working conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, vibration, wet and/or humid, dust, fumes, gases, mists, and odors.

- USD $22.85/Hr.
