About the Role
A caring, reliable, and experienced Personal Care Assistant is required to support clients in the North London area within their homes. The role involves supporting clients with complex needs, including spinal cord injuries and bowel management.
Responsibilities
- Providing full personal care and assistance with daily living activities
- Supporting with all mobility needs, transfers, and repositioning
- Assisting with bowel management routines
- Supporting with the use of a nebuliser
- Promoting comfort, wellbeing, and independence
- Working closely with family members and healthcare professionals
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Assisting with mobility, positioning, and transfers
- Supporting tracheostomy care and respiratory needs
- Monitoring and assisting with BiPAP therapy as required
- Communicating effectively using non-verbal methods
Requirements
- Must be comfortable with manual handling
- Must be comfortable with bowel management on spinal cord injury clients
