About the Role
As a Claims Adjuster in the Gothaer Claims Service Center in Berlin-Adlershof, you will work closely with customers and solutions in a modern environment with around 200 colleagues. You will be supported by BarmeniaGothaer, with 7,500 colleagues who support each other.
Responsibilities
- Manage the final processing of insurance claims in property, automotive, or liability insurance with our customers.
- Take responsibility for the entire claims management process, directing all claim settlement processes and coordinating services from our partner networks.
- Make independent decisions within your authority using specialized digital platforms and customer service tools.
- Negotiate with customers, appraisers, and experts to find case-specific solutions.
- Identify fraudulent cases and initiate appropriate countermeasures.
- Develop new service approaches with other departments and implement resulting changes.
- Contribute your expertise to achieving team goals and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Completed training as a Kaufmann/Kauffrau for Insurance and Finance, Versicherungsfachmann/Versicherungsfachfrau, or a comparable qualification (e.g., Rechtsanwaltsfachangestellte/r, Jurist/in).
- Previous professional experience in final claims processing.
- Enthusiasm for structured and solution-oriented claims processing with customers and service providers in the partner network, including through new digital channels.
- Assertiveness, strong communication skills, and a high degree of negotiation confidence with an above-average quality awareness.
- Independent, proactive, and responsible work style with a strong service and customer orientation.
