About the Role
Serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience. Schedule appointments, manage communications, and direct inquiries accurately. Collaborate with the front desk and other departments to ensure exceptional service and seamless communication.
Responsibilities
- Answer phones and direct calls or assist patients as appropriate.
- Manage the flow of information between the lab, onsite physician, and other staff, adhering to patient care and privacy standards.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, check-ups, and physician referrals.
- Greet visitors, ascertain the purpose of their visit, and direct them to appropriate staff.
- Compile and record medical charts, reports, and correspondence.
- Interview patients to complete insurance and privacy forms.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- At least one year of administrative medical office experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system strongly preferred.
