About the Role
Time Doctor is seeking a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own the marketing-led customer journey for paying customers, focusing on driving adoption, retention, expansion, and reactivation revenue through AI-first strategies and automated workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own the lifecycle marketing program for paying customers, including onboarding, ongoing communications, segmentation, expansion, and retention plays.
- Design, brief, QA, and measure customer journeys to achieve adoption, retention, expansion, and reactivation revenue outcomes.
- Build and manage AI-first agentic workflows for tasks such as segmentation, signal interpretation, journey building, and content drafting.
- Develop repeatable, automated customer journeys rather than one-off campaigns.
- Own orchestration and outcomes across the customer base, collaborating with PMM, GTM Ops, Growth, and CS.
- Manage onboarding and adoption programs, including the marketing-led 30/60/90 program and driving traffic to TD Academy.
- Segment paying customers based on profile, product usage, engagement, lifecycle stage, adoption state, expansion propensity, and churn risk.
- Design, build, and QA customer journeys and triggers for expansion, cross-sell, retention, and win-back plays.
- Develop renewal-moment marketing campaigns, including value-recap and air-cover campaigns.
- Manage customer communications, including the customer newsletter, webinars, feature releases, and in-app announcements.
- Identify advocates and trigger asks for reviews, referrals, testimonials, and references.
- Manage review-site presence and take case studies to market.
- Conduct lifecycle analytics and experimentation to continuously improve programs.
- Implement AI-assisted segmentation, comms, and analytics workflows.
- Collaborate with Growth and CS on expansion and churn signals, and with PMM and Content on messaging.
- Establish expansion-opportunity routing to Sales and CS with GTM Ops.
- Map the post-conversion journey and audit current onboarding and customer communications.
- Document the conversion handoff process, including triggers and data transfer.
- Set up cohort reporting and baseline adoption, retention, and expansion metrics.
- Launch or repair onboarding programs and expansion/renewal campaigns.
- Scale successful expansion and retention plays.
- Run win-back pilots.
- Present adoption, retention, and expansion baselines with a lifecycle roadmap.
Requirements
- Treat a revenue number as your own and design journeys toward adoption, retention, or expansion.
- Exhibit high agency in identifying and fixing underperforming journeys.
- Be commercially minded and able to turn customer signals into revenue.
- Be analytical and cohort-fluent, understanding customer behavior and growth patterns.
- Think in systems and prefer building repeatable, automated flows.
- Work cleanly across Growth, CS, PMM, and GTM Ops, establishing working agreements.
- Build with AI, utilizing agents and agentic workflows to accomplish tasks.
- Have hands-on experience building agents or agentic workflows that perform real work.
- Be comfortable working from product usage and account data to define segments and logic.
- Have a clear understanding of where lifecycle marketing ends and Growth/CS begin.
- Be able to commit to at least four hours a day of overlap with US Eastern business hours.
