About the Role
The University of Rochester is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a full-time position in their Urgent Care department. This role involves treating patients with minor illnesses and injuries, aiming for a 2-hour treat and release goal. The APP will work collaboratively with other NPs, PAs, and Attending Physicians, functioning with a degree of autonomy while ensuring quality of care and compliance with standards.
Responsibilities
- Treat patients with minor illnesses and injuries with a treat and release goal of 2 hours or less.
- Care for patients collaboratively with NPs/PAs and Attending Physicians.
- Participate in the education of learners (students and new employees) using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing, and skill training.
Requirements
- Must be NYS NP/PA eligible.
- New graduates will not be considered.
- Prior advanced practice required.
- Recent experience in acute care of ED or Urgent care strongly desired.
- Demonstrate clinical competence.
- Demonstrate superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills.
- Demonstrate computer competence.
- Must have an active desire to learn.

Salary/Compensations
- $98,508.00 - $132,995.00
