About the Role
Support the design of Amazon's European logistics network, contributing to the development of delivery stations and fulfillment centers under the guidance of senior team members. This role offers structured learning opportunities while contributing to Amazon's infrastructure expansion.
Responsibilities
- Support the design process of Amazon infrastructure within your assigned project scope by reviewing technical documentation, supporting quality assessments, and providing feedback under the guidance of senior team members.
- Participate in design and value engineering initiatives under senior guidance, learning to identify opportunities that enhance customer experience, sustainability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support coordination with external stakeholders, escalating roadblocks and risks as needed.
- Compile, organize, and maintain project documentation, updates, and tracking systems in a reportable format.
- Learn and apply best practices in pre-construction and construction processes, leveraging established playbooks and procedures.
Requirements
- Experience as an Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, Development Manager, Owner's project management representative or in other Commercial Development and Construction related disciplines.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint).
- Experience in business analysis and functional roles requiring quantitative, analytical and organizational skills.
- Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English at C1 level or above.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Civil Engineering, Architecture (or country equivalent).
- Experience prioritizing and managing time effectively in dynamic environments.
- Academic, leadership, and/or extracurricular record.
- Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to influence across all levels of an organization.
- Working knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM).
- Experience in managing cool chains, refrigeration equipment and installations, temperature-controlled environments.
- Additional language skills (French, German, Polish, Arabic, Portuguese, Turkish, Chinese (Mandarin), Afrikaans and Zulu ) are beneficial for cross-regional project coordination across EMEA.
