About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to join a franchise at an exciting stage of growth and play a key role in shaping its future. Working alongside senior leaders across our global platform, you will help expand our Energy Investment Banking business, deepen relationships with leading Oil & Gas companies, and drive high-profile transactions across EMEA and APAC. Responsibilities
- Originate and execute complex Oil & Gas M&A and strategic transactions
- Develop trusted relationships with senior executives and decision-makers across the Energy sector
- Drive new business opportunities and help expand Scotiabank's Energy franchise globally
- Partner closely with the Global Energy teams, Corporate Banking, Capital Markets and coverage teams to deliver integrated client solutions
- Lead transaction execution from origination through completion
- Increase the visibility and market presence of the Energy platform across EMEA and APAC
- Mentor and develop junior talent, helping build the next generation of investment bankers
- Play an active role in the continued growth and evolution of the franchise
Requirements
- Significant Investment Banking experience with a focus on Energy, ideally gained within Oil & Gas M&A, Energy Advisory or Investment Banking teams
- Strong track record of Oil & Gas M&A origination and execution
- Strong analytical, valuation and financial modelling capabilities, with experience supporting and executing complex Energy transactions
- Existing networks and relationships across the Energy sector in EMEA and APAC would be advantageous
- Commercially minded with proven business development capabilities
- Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to help grow a market-leading franchise
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
