About the Role
Lead the evolution of Optus' enterprise resilience capability, ensuring the organization can anticipate, respond to, and recover from major disruptions while maintaining critical services. This executive leadership role is responsible for business continuity, crisis management, emergency management, and resilience assurance across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Leading and enhancing Optus' Enterprise Crisis Management and Business Continuity frameworks.
- Overseeing enterprise-wide Business Impact Analysis (BIA) activities and continuity planning.
- Driving crisis and emergency management preparedness through simulations, exercises, and executive rehearsals.
- Providing strategic resilience advice and leadership during significant incidents and crisis events.
- Monitoring organisational resilience maturity and supporting compliance with regulatory obligations, including critical infrastructure requirements.
- Building resilience capability through training, awareness, and continuous improvement programs.
- Leading lessons-learned reviews and driving sustainable improvements following incidents and exercises.
Requirements
- 10–15+ years' experience in business continuity, crisis management, resilience, risk, or related disciplines within large, complex organisations.
- Experience operating within regulated industries or critical infrastructure environments.
- Deep knowledge of business continuity management, disaster recovery, risk management, and enterprise resilience frameworks.
- Strong executive stakeholder management and facilitation capabilities.
- Demonstrated success leading crisis response activities and resilience programs.
