About the Role
L3Harris is seeking highly skilled and motivated software engineering professionals to work in a dynamic classified environment to provide world-class cloud solutions supporting critical national defense programs. Successful candidates will join a development team in the Ground Software and Image Science discipline, directly supporting solutions developed by L3Harris’s Space Ground Solutions (SGS) Group.
Responsibilities
- Assess, troubleshoot, and triage deployed software in operational environments
- Develop, maintain, and enhance software applications using Java, C++, Python
- Support software deployment, integration, and sustainment activities in Linux environments
- Diagnose and resolve software defects, performance issues, and system integration problems
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and mission teams to deliver reliable software capabilities
- Support debugging, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation for fielded systems
- Participate in software design, code reviews, testing, and configuration management processes
- Ensure software solutions meet mission, security, and performance requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field and relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
- Ability to work effectively in a mission-focused team environment
- Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI or SCI eligibility
