About the Role
Steer is a global consultancy specializing in critical services and infrastructure. We are seeking talented and motivated individuals passionate about driving change and providing powerful solutions to make a measurable difference to clients, communities, and the world. From your first week, you will tackle real-world challenges and develop your consultancy skills through on-the-job learning and a structured development program.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the full range of consultancy work.
- Develop consultancy skills through on-the-job learning and a structured development and mentoring program.
- Collaborate with industry experts to address complex problems.
- Participate in a tailored program providing skills for a successful career in consultancy.
- Engage in formal classroom training, induction sessions, and practice rotations.
- Focus on industry knowledge, core consultancy skills, technical training, project management, and key business skills.
- Participate in onboarding activities including peer meetings, personal development planning, and learning about Steer.
- Receive mentoring from senior colleagues.
- Be supported by a dedicated 'buddy' to help settle into life at Steer.
- Work with a career development manager and program sponsor for career coaching and progression.
- Continue professional development with learning opportunities after the initial 18 months.
- Be supported towards professional qualifications, including chartered status.
Requirements
- Good academic background.
- Strong people and organization skills.
- High level of commercial acumen.
- Applicants should be educated to degree level with all subjects considered.
- Preference for subjects with a quantification or research element.
- Interest in subjects of direct relevance to Steer's work such as Geography, Transport, Mathematics, Statistics, Design, Engineering, Economics, Politics, and related fields.

- Must not get help from another person during assessments.
- Must not submit material that isn't your own work.
