About the Role

This role involves preparing and serving a variety of coffee and tea beverages for guests in dining rooms, cocktail lounges, and bars, while ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve standard and specialty coffee and tea beverages.
  • Interact with guests, team members, and supervisors politely and courteously.
  • Anticipate and accommodate guest needs.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the coffee station and venue.
  • Communicate guest needs to support staff, servers, managers, and chefs.
  • Deliver coffee/tea orders to tables/bar in a timely manner.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of coffee and tea menus and execute them to company standards.
  • Clear dirty service items from tables after order delivery.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction through active participation in service.
  • Follow supervisor instructions, communicate with, and support co-workers.
  • Comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
  • Set up coffee stations, perform side-work, and complete opening/closing procedures.
  • Ensure perishable items are within expiration dates and discard expired items, alerting management.
  • Stock coffee stations with all prescribed supplies.
  • Complete opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Report all equipment or furniture breakage and damage to management immediately.
  • Attend and participate in daily pre-service meetings and training sessions.
  • Learn by listening, observing, and sharing knowledge.
  • Portray a positive and professional attitude.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality and its environments.
  • Work as part of a team and provide help and support to team members.
  • Assist with or complete additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year previous food & beverage experience required.
  • Minimum 1-year previous barista experience required.
  • Previous experience in a fast-casual/high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge preferred.
  • Ability to write, read, and verbally communicate.
  • Must have good positive energy throughout the day.
  • Must be able to print legibly.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to move quickly.
  • Must be able to push and lift up to 75 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards.
  • Must be effective as part of a team.
  • Ability to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.
