About the Role
ALBASPROSS gGmbH organizes the all-day program at Berlin schools as an independent youth welfare organization, shaping schools into vibrant places for learning and leisure with comprehensive offerings in sports, games, art, music, and other cultural techniques. We are looking for a dedicated and creative individual to join our unique organization and help shape the future of education and physical activity. The role involves creating an open and safe space for girls in an after-school group, focusing on their interests and life experiences, and fostering creativity, exchange, and self-determination.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement creative, varied, and low-threshold activities that are fun and encourage participation.
- Create a safe space where girls can engage with their interests, experiences, and questions.
- Address and reflect on girl-specific topics such as identity, friendship, body image, role models, self-determination, relationships, and societal expectations.
- Bring a personal, reflective stance on gender-specific issues and critically question them with the group.
- Flexibly adapt activities and content to the needs, interests, and dynamics of the respective group.
- Work in a racism-sensitive and discrimination-critical manner, making diverse life realities visible.
- Develop awareness of the importance of social background, class, financial opportunities, and different family life situations, and integrate this into pedagogical work.
- Create low-threshold access so that all girls can participate regardless of their prior experience, abilities, or social situation.
- Strengthen participants' self-efficacy, self-confidence, and individual development.
Requirements
- Experience working with adolescents in socially challenging situations.
- Openness, interest, and enthusiasm for working with young people.
- Implementation of equal opportunities and fair participation.
- Confident demeanor and high cooperation, communication, and teamwork skills.
- High degree of responsibility, reliability, loyalty, and self-organization.
- Interest in a long-term perspective with ALBA BERLIN.
- Good German language skills for secure communication and support in everyday school life are required.
- Proof of measles immunity confirmed by a doctor (if born after 1970) or a medical certificate of contraindication.
- An extended police clearance certificate, not older than three months.
