About the Role
As an Assistant Manager at Boots Opticians, you will lead and inspire your team to deliver an exemplary customer journey. You will play an important role within your store, working closely with the Store Manager, to create and deliver the commercial plan to help the business grow and change for the better. Your days will be full of variety, involving customer service, store operations, and clinical activities such as patient pre-screening and dispensing. You will manage a team with diverse experience and clinical knowledge, helping them develop their skills and careers, while also completing management tasks like creating rotas, return to work reviews, and performance management. Boots will support you in completing industry-leading training programs to develop your clinical and leadership knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire your team to deliver an exemplary customer journey.
- Work closely with the Store Manager to create and deliver the commercial plan.
- Be involved in customer service, store operations, and clinical activities.
- Manage a team with a variety of experience and clinical knowledge.
- Help team members develop their knowledge, skills, and shape their future careers.
- Complete management tasks such as creating and maintaining rotas, return to work reviews, and performance management.
- Support in completing industry leading ‘Step into Optics’ training programme.
- Develop clinical knowledge.
- Participate in leadership training programmes.
