About the Role
As a Day Shift Warehouse Supervisor, you will be a key member of the Depot Management team, supporting the Depot by providing strong man-management to all front-line staff on your shift. You will supervise a mixed team of contracted and agency staff across our day shifts, processing parcels collected from our network of Parcel Shops and the growing returns part of our business.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of up to 30 direct reports providing leadership and direction for the shift
- Develop and train reports and ensure SLA’s are hit for the day shift
- Ensure compliance with all site HSES rules and regulations
- Process BI and MI reports based on work output of Drivers and Loaders
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
Requirements
- Management experience of leading and managing a team
- Must be able to work on own initiative in a pressurised environment to tight deadlines
- Experience of managing teams in a fast-paced logistics environment is a definite advantage
- PC Literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft office
- An understanding of Transport regulations
- Good communicator and able to liaise at all levels
- Flexible approach to work to meet business requirements
