About the Role
World Fuel Services is seeking a procurement professional to manage contract lifecycles, lead sourcing processes, and drive cost optimization within the Subscriptions category and potentially other indirect procurement areas. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
Responsibilities
- Manage contract lifecycles, including renewals, amendments, license allocations, and terminations in the Subscriptions category.
- Ensure timely contract renewals to avoid service disruptions and maintain compliance.
- Utilize RFI, RFQ, and RFP methodologies for robust sourcing processes in Subscriptions or other categories.
- Develop and execute data-driven sourcing and negotiation strategies.
- Lead cross-functional teams and evaluate supplier risks.
- Collaborate with Category Managers and Procurement Leaders to align on priorities.
- Define and align on requirements, negotiate terms, and establish KPIs with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct market intelligence research and supplier benchmarking.
- Manage supplier relationships to build partnerships and improve performance.
- Develop cost models and perform spend analysis, identifying cost optimization opportunities.
- Partner with stakeholders (IT, Legal, Information Security) on contract evaluation, redlining, and negotiation.
- Use Oracle Fusion to support the P2P process and resolve invoice issues.
- Assist in developing and updating internal policies and procedures.
- Manage and maintain procurement trackers and databases.
- Assist in providing information for SOX controls with auditors.
- Lead continuous process improvements using new and existing technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Indirect Procurement.
- Experience managing contract renewals and leading sourcing activities.
- Proven ability to implement multi-site procurement programs that achieve measurable cost savings.
- Proven experience in managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Proven experience in commercial and contract negotiation.
- International experience is preferable.
- Experience in using Oracle, or similar ERP, is desirable but not essential.
- Comfortable supporting new categories.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a changing environment.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Innovative in providing and addressing business needs in a changing environment.
- Proven ability to positively persuade and influence decision making.
- The desire and ability to constructively challenge the status quo in partnership with stakeholders.
- Willingness to experiment and work with new technologies.
