About the Role
Eram Talent is seeking an experienced Arborist to provide specialized care, assessment, management, and conservation of trees within the Botanic Gardens, ensuring their health, structural integrity, safety, and aesthetic quality.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and specialized tree inspections, maintenance, and health assessments.
- Undertake and/or supervise appropriate tree pruning techniques.
- Monitor tree health and identify signs of disease, pests, structural defects, and stress.
- Recommend and implement appropriate preventative and corrective tree-care measures.
- Conduct systematic tree risk assessments to identify potential failures and hazards.
- Recommend appropriate risk-management measures, including pruning, monitoring, support systems, or removal.
- Maintain documentation of tree-risk assessments, recommendations, and interventions.
- Develop and implement comprehensive tree care and preventative maintenance programs.
- Develop long-term tree succession and replacement plans for collection continuity and sustainability.
Requirements
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of tree-care and arboriculture practices.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience in tree care and arboriculture management.
