About the Role
As a VP, Human Resources, you will act as a HR Business Partner and Human Capital leader supporting investment professionals and business leadership across the Americas. You will own the translation of global programs and initiatives into locally relevant programming, advise leaders and employees on the full employee lifecycle, immigration, and complex workforce matters, and conceive, design, and deliver the region's engagement and development programming.
Responsibilities
- Lead Regional Employee Engagement Initiatives
- Drive local and global employee engagement events within the region
- Act as designated point person for regional event programming across four domains: GIC School/Learning, Culture & Belonging, Wellness, and Business-Specific programming
- Represent Americas market context and employee feedback back into global program design discussions
- Advise business leaders and employees on people matters, performance management, and organizational decisions
- Assist with new employee onboarding and exiting employees
- Manage leave administration, accommodations, and employee concerns
- Investigate and resolve sensitive workplace matters in partnership with Counsel
- Manage offboarding and separation agreements
- Assist in managing performance review process for local cohort of Executive Assistants
- Lead visa, green card, and PERM sponsorship processes
- Advise employees and managers on immigration pathways, timelines, and compliance risk
- Oversee U.S.-bound transfers and relocation
- Deliver employee education sessions on evolving immigration policy
- Serve as an Americas liaison to Singapore HQ HR teams, translating global initiatives, policy, and program design into locally relevant execution
- Lead HR technology rollouts affecting the region
- Liaise with Finance Department to ensure smooth administration of regional programming
- Serve as backup payroll approver
- Assist with payroll/benefits related initiatives
Requirements
- At least 7 years of broad HR experience
- Strong background in Immigration
- At least 3 years interacting with senior stakeholders
- Fully conversant and up-to-date with all aspects of employment law and HR best practice
- Ability to independently execute HR tasks and resolve issues
- Ability to recommend solutions for processes and policies independently
- Ability to follow process, have a solution finding and improvement mind-set
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity and professionalism at all times
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders
- Exposure to payroll review
- Comfortable working in a hands-on environment with a broad range of responsibilities
- An inquisitive mind-set and self-driven/motivated
- Comfortable working in a regional office of a global organization
