About the Role
Support the unit in achieving set production targets by adhering to systems and processes, utilizing machinery and equipment on the shop floor, and interpreting technical diagrams for assembly.
Responsibilities
- Assemble products by following Engineering documents and work instructions
- Operate computer to check schedules and update manufacturing status of jobs
- Determine wire routing, cut, strip, label, crimp and terminate wire and secure bundles
- Select proper hardware, and as necessary, drill, tap, punch, cut to mount components
- Assist in the training of other employees, addressing and resolving inquiries and problems
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documentation, and reject tickets
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations
- Maintain departmental housekeeping standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of related manufacturing / shop floor assembly experience required
- Ability to read and comprehend English assembly instructions, assembly drawings, and procedure manuals
- Requires ability to operate a wide variety of small hand and power tools, wire strippers, crimping tools, soldering tools, hand taps and punches, hand trucks, heat guns, precision measuring devices, and a computer
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US
