About the Role
The Food & Beverage team ensures a consistent guest experience by maintaining product freshness, availability, and accurate pricing. This role focuses on operations, process efficiency, and managing food and beverage areas according to store standards.
Responsibilities

- Greet guests warmly and initiate helpful interactions.
- Assist guests in finding products and resolving issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
- End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
- Actively support team efforts and assist peers with a positive and respectful attitude.
- Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience.
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience by providing a fresh and abundant shopping experience, prioritizing guest needs.
- Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food & Beverage Standards.
- Execute food and beverage processes including deliveries, replenishment, instocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, and organizing.
- Be aware of current and future promotions within Starbucks.
- Follow all Target and Starbucks routines to deliver a consistent experience while completing tasks efficiently and maintaining food safety.
- Support the Starbucks Drive Up process to ensure digital guest orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Maintain an inviting dining area for guests.
- Engage with guests to meet and exceed their expectations based on Starbucks standards.
- Produce hand crafted beverages and food to specifications.
- Follow all food safety requirements, including monitoring and recording temperatures.
- Complete and record all cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space.
- Locate and identify damaged, recalled or expired items and process accordingly.
- Ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders.
- Follow proper perishable inventory procedures.
- Execute sampling best practices.
- Complete all required training requirements and certifications.
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report hazards.
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU).
- Perform other duties based on business needs.
Requirements
- Previous Starbucks/food service experience preferred, but not required.
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
- Work both independently and with a team.
- Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot.
- Attention to detail and follow multi-step processes.
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
- Interpret instructions, reports and information.
- Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
- Climb up and down ladders if needed.
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving product up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance.
- Work in environments that will include refrigeration and freezer temperatures and conditions; where common allergens may also be handled or present.
- Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties, including but not limited to Drive-Ups, carryout, etc.
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shifts (shift length may vary).
