About the Role

Amazon Business Japan is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead selection strategy for business customers. You will identify opportunities to better serve Japanese businesses, from small enterprises to large organizations, and build scalable mechanisms to address these needs. The role is crucial for making Amazon Business the trusted purchasing solution for Japanese businesses, impacting pricing, selection, quotations, and stock availability.

Responsibilities

Own the selection strategy and goals for business customers in Japan, including analysis and reporting.
Identify selection gaps by analyzing purchase data, search data, customer feedback, and benchmarks.
Build mechanisms to systematically find missing or unavailable products and route them to relevant teams.
Drive adoption of selection strategies with retail category teams, brand and vendor management, third-party seller teams, and global Amazon Business product teams.
Communicate progress, risks, and plans to leadership with data.
Assess customer needs, purchase and search data, and benchmarks to identify and size selection gaps.
Define and own Japan selection goals for business customers, including analysis, targets, and reporting.
Build and maintain mechanisms to identify, prioritize, and route missing or unavailable products.
Collaborate with global Amazon Business product and program management teams on the selection roadmap.
Partner with sales teams to capture selection requests from customer deals and develop standing programs.
Partner with Legal, Compliance, Tax, and Finance to assess requirements for new product categories or programs.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
7+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience.
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
Experience as a product manager or owner.
Experience demonstrating strong analytical abilities and confidence in the use of data.
Experience in influencing senior leadership through data-driven insights.
Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders.
