About the Role
The Talent Acquisition Manager will lead mid-career recruitment strategies, team operations, member development, and process improvements to drive overall team hiring success. This role involves taking a lead in high-importance and high-difficulty hiring themes while ensuring individual recruiters can achieve success in their respective areas and continue to grow.
Responsibilities
- Lead the formulation, execution, and review of Mercari Group's mid-career recruitment strategy and mid-to-long-term plan based on business strategy and organizational/personnel plans.
- Achieve consensus and make decisions on recruitment priorities, talent requirements, hiring standards, evaluation criteria, hiring numbers, and fulfillment timelines in collaboration with management, business leaders, hiring managers, and HRBPs.
- Design and improve recruitment strategies, channels, selection processes, candidate experiences, and closing strategies tailored to the business phase, recruitment market, and candidate characteristics of each domain.
- Establish team goals, prioritize tasks, assign work, conduct one-on-one meetings, provide feedback, foster development, and manage performance to ensure the team consistently achieves results.
- Manage team capacity and recruitment portfolio, considering recruiter assignments, hiring difficulty, and business priorities.
- Promote the update of job definitions, skill requirements, hiring standards, evaluation items, and interviewer roles necessary for the AI-Native era.
- Create an environment where recruiters can focus on candidate interactions, complex decision-making, and consensus building by documenting and systematizing individual-dependent judgments and tasks using AI tools and internal AI support tools.
- Lead cross-functional themes such as recruitment branding, talent pipeline development, and hiring enablement.
Requirements
- Empathy for the mission and values of Mercari Group and its companies.
- Experience managing a mid-career recruitment team in a business company, or experience leading multiple recruiters while taking responsibility for recruitment strategy and outcomes.
- Experience leading the entire mid-career recruitment cycle, including recruitment strategy, requirements definition, candidate sourcing, selection design, candidate experience, offers, and closing.
- Experience building consensus and driving recruitment policies and decisions with multiple stakeholders, including management and business leaders.
- Experience in setting team goals and priorities, assigning work, providing feedback, fostering development, and supporting performance.
- Strong curiosity and willingness to learn about the latest technologies, businesses, products, organizations, and market trends.
