About the Role
Silver Tree Residential is looking for a dependable, quality-focused Facilities Technician to join our progressively growing team in Penfield, NY. Crown Oaks Estates is a multi-family, affordable community with 96 apartment homes. The Facilities Technician is responsible for the prompt and efficient performance of all tasks assigned by the Community Director and/or Facilities Director and for continuous self-improvement of skills and expertise. We are looking for a reliable team member who is willing to uphold our community to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage all maintenance-related and capital improvement activities within an assigned property.
- Inspect, schedule, and perform routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment.
- Satisfy work orders promptly and efficiently.
- Assist in the make-ready process of vacant apartments to prepare them for new move-ins in a timely and detail-oriented manner.
Requirements
- Must have his/her own tools.
- Must have the physical capability to walk all around the property (including stairs), lift heavy items, and otherwise perform a variety of physical tasks regularly and as needed.
- Must report to work at regularly scheduled work hours.
Skills
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems.
- Working knowledge of various appliances, stoves, dishwashers, disposals, and refrigerators.
- Familiarity with electricity.
- Familiarity with plumbing.
- Familiarity with carpentry.
