About the Role
We are seeking qualified solicitors and barristers to join our London Moorgate campus as Lecturers or Senior Lecturers. This role involves teaching, assessing, and contributing to vocational programmes, professional development courses, and the Higher Rights qualification. You will play a key part in assessment design and delivery, shaping our research culture, and supporting students' academic and pastoral needs.
Responsibilities
- Teach on our courses and act as an academic coach to students.
- Signpost students on pastoral aspects during their learning journey.
- Deliver high-quality teaching and support for learning.
- Communicate with other academics for the continuous improvement of teaching and student support.
- Identify the need for developing content, structure, and assessment within modules with colleagues.
- Make proposals on how module development should be achieved.
- Contribute to effective design and review of inclusive learning.
- Maintain quality standards and regulations in curricular design.
- Routinely communicate complex and conceptual ideas to those with limited knowledge and understanding as well as to peers using high-level skills.
Requirements
- Admitted to practise in England and Wales.
- Member of the Bar of England and Wales or admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in England and Wales.
- Sufficient breadth and depth of professional experience in the relevant discipline to develop teaching programmes and learning support.
- Professional and credible, commanding respect.
- Must be able to prove the right to work in the UK.
- For Senior Lecturer positions: significant expertise in the application and practical delivery of a range of teaching techniques, pastoral care, mentoring colleagues, assessment design, marking and team leadership.

Salary/Compensations
- £40,500–£42,500 for Lecturers
- £49,000–£54,000 for Senior Lecturers
- £4,300 per annum location weighting allowance for London-based roles
